I have never written a review before, but this thing is a life changer.Quick introduction, I’m turning 77 in two weeks, I have had a triple bypass 10 years age, and five stints to keep things flowing. So my movement was restricted to trips to the bathroom and weekly outings for breakfast. The Hypershell allowed me the freedom to start walking in the backyard. I am now up to 3 miles a day using 5 minutes per hour, 12 hours a day. What a delight this product has brought freedom to my daily activities. The exoskeleton works great, it seems to learn very quickly how you walk and straightens everything out to perfect the process of walking. I noticed that I used to drag my right foot once I started getting tired. After 2 days walking with this assistance I no longer notice that habit. This device ensures that my feet can not possibly drag on the floor even when I walk in grass or gravel. This device does not walk for you, you have to have the ability to walk prior to using this product. This product assists you in the process of walking and running thereby increasing your movement.I love it, everyone should wear one.

It works OK once you get the right fit. Maybe it was designed for a woman with more prominent hips. I find that it slips off my hips even when so tight I can barely get it to buckle. I think it needs a better designed buckling system. Maybe with a ratchet. For a man, a suspender might help the slipping problem. I notice Hypershell does offer a suspender product, which looks like overkill. I might just use ordinary suspenders and see whether that helps. I also found the controls to be awkward. I had to go to a wall mirror to observe the different states. I haven’t decided whether to keep it or not.

Second time they sent me the basic model. No extra battery. Now Amazon will not refund my money. That’s 1700.00 dollars Amazon will not refund. It’s criminal. Don’t buy this through Amazon. You will be sorry.

First let me mention that I really like this product and how it can help me on long hikes!!I took of a Star because main waist buckle broke when trying to tighten the straps. Consider changing them, for piece of mind. Thanks to Amazon I ordered new buckles that will last longer than the original within 12 hrs. Amazing!!I also believe the company should have provided a better Battery Charging Solution, which added to my 1-Star deduction. Batteries worked fine but I needed a 100W USB-C power charger to fully charge the batteries. Also beware that you may need long pants while hiking because the knee wraps will chaff your skin otherwise.I ordered thigh skins which will prevent this from happening and allow me to wear shorts :-)Battery life is perfectly acceptable for my uses, since I mainly use in ECO mode and carry the extra battery.I love how versatile the Hypershell X Carbon is adjustable to many types of body sizes. Very cool!I find the harness well designed and light-weight. This product adapts to how you move using AI tech which is great for using it over variable terrain.I love that I can use my Apple Watch to increase assistance when needed without using my phone. A super feature while hiking up hills…I am big and was very happy the this product adapted well to my large body. I am looking forward to using this tool on my longer hikes. One feature that I was unaware of is the “Fitness” mode which actually adds resistance instead of assistance for people who want to train there muscles harder for more effective workouts. Brilliant idea!I tried it and it work well, feels like walking in water.I wish my father could have had this product when he had a stroke. It could have helped him recover fast and walk better.Great product!! Love these new innovative uses of technology!!

Ive just retuned mine do to four orange LEDs indicating a battery/chip problem and Amazon quickly refunded my credit card so I’m a very happy Amazon Prime member right now. But there is a problem with Hypershell. If you reside in the United States the only customer service I eventually found was located in Europe and sorry to say it was terrible. So my advice is if you’re interested in a Hypershell exoskeleton be diligent in your online research before you spend over $1000.00 on a product produced by a company that has no presence in the USA.

First off, this is an impressive product. I will begin with that, even though I ended up returning it and I can explain why.I am knocking one star off – for first the product arriving late, and second not sending the product I had paid for. I had ordered the Carbon, but got the slightly heavier, mid-priced one instead. Still, I wanted to make this work.I tried out the product with the app. It is a very creative, well built product. I had two very specific use cases for two of my family members, that was suffering from a hip/knee imbalance issue. I configured it perfectly, yet it was not helpful for them for their own specific reasons. I tried it out on myself, so let me explain the big beneficiary of such a product – with the usual I am not a doctor caveats and do not take my words for your health advice. If someone is fully stable in the hip/knee area, but gets weak quickly after a few steps, this device could help increasing your daily step count by quite a bit because with this device, you deliver less effort in moving your legs forward and this can be extremely customizable using the app.The other possible health related use: for someone who is learning to walk again after a major spine incident – i believe it can help train and move your legs forward, as long as they are monitored by experts/PTs. Again, this is my opinion, after trying this device out – I truly wanted to review it from this angle knowing how miraculous it might prove to be some out there.Battery lasts quite long as well, mine came with two batteries. You would need a powerful usb-c – ideally 100 watt adapter, but 65 watt would do as well, and the battery can be charged only while it is attached to the exoskeleton. The whole thing came well packaged, in a custom fitting semi-hardshell carrying suitcase, which can travel inside another hardshell luggage.Aside from these health related uses – this can be a boon for hikers to keep powering up hills, you see all of that in the commercials for this, I am not going to explain those uses here.Overall, a great product. Recommended for very specific people. 🙂

I bought this product a few days ago for my wife, who is recovering from hip surgery. Upon unboxing, I found the battery was completely drained. My initial thought was to charge the battery directly, but I was surprised to find no charging port on the battery pack itself. My only option was to put the battery into the device and charge it that way. I left it plugged in for a full day, but the charge level never got past 3 days. I then decided to purchase the dedicated charger separately, which fully charged the battery in just a few hours.Based on this, I’d like to offer two humble suggestions for improvement:First, it would be incredibly convenient if you could add a USB-C port to the batteries themselves, allowing them to be charged on their own.Alternatively, if that’s not feasible, I strongly recommend including the external charger in the box with the main product.Frankly, it’s hard to imagine customers being happy with a product that takes days to become usable due to such a charging process.Next, for easier control, I suggest allowing users to adjust the power levels by tapping the motor sections. It would be very intuitive to tap one or both motors to cycle through the four strength settings. As an example, while in ‘Eco mode,’ the user could simply double-tap a motor to increase the intensity by one step.
